We had worked with these fabulous clients before and when they purchased a brand new house they called us back in to 'zhush' it up. Our Hart clients are a fun, funky young family with loads of personality and oomph and the new house just didn't reflect them at all.

We began in the kitchen which, even though it was brand spanking new it seriously lacked storage and felt dark and oppressive. The cabinets and bench tops were in great condition - it just needed to be bossed around to work for our clients. So we changed the layout of the island by bringing the bench height to the same level and added additional storage underneath. We added some stunning tiles for the splash back and made a soft feature wall with floor to ceiling white picket tiles. Some new lighting and cabinet handles and hey presto! A light, bright and family friendly kitchen.

In the living room our clients already had the stunning sofa's and we really wanted to work with them. We also wanted to add some POW and fun and our clients gave us an emphatic yes when we presented the wallpaper. And so it goes....along with amazing high quality soft furnishings, that gorgeous blue velvet chair and some essential styling this room just oozes charm and fun.

We also added a few touches to the extra long hallway (how about that circle mirror?) and new linen, wall sconces and window treatments for the master bedroom.

This is a project that on paper should never have worked. But in reality it really is something else and the collision of texture, colour and styles work together and make such a massive impact, one might require sunglasses!
